Nathalie Emmanuel, a British actor, best known for her part as Missandei (HBO's fantasy show Game of Thrones) from 2011 to 2019 She was also a British actress. The actress was born and raised in Southend-on-the-Sea an ocean-side holiday town in Essex, Emmanuel was drawn to performing from a very young age. Nathalie started taking acting, singing, and dancing lessons around 3 years of age. The parents of her were impressed. Emmanuel developed into a talented actress and singer. Her role was created as young Nala by the West End for the stage production "The The Lion King" at the end of the 1990s. Emmanuel began her auditions when she was a young teen for roles in film and television. Her first major break in 2007 when she began playing Sasha Valentine on the British soap-opera "Hollyoaks" (Channel 4, 1995-2010), 1995- ). Emmanuel performed the part for four seasons, leaving the series in 2010. Emmanuel's breakthrough moment followed three years later. she was cast as Missandei as the character's interpreter the character Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), on HBO's "Game of Thrones." Emmanuel was to reprise her role in every subsequent seasons of "Game of Thrones"" until the season's finale on May 19, 2019.
